Kaki, I am so enjoying your articles! It took me SO LONG to adopt the "food is not the enemy" mindset. Especially having IBD since I was a teen, I struggled a lot with my diet and fearing food (and hating my body, but that's another story...). Now I follow certain dietary guidelines that I know work for me, like no gluten and low nuts and seeds, but I'm not afraid of any food, even the "unhealthy" stuff! Thanks for writing. :)
